Administration

Dr. Apolonia Renteria serves the students at Resaca Middle School as Principal. Dr. Renteria has been part of the Los Fresnos CISD family since 2022. Her career in public education began in 2009. During her time in education, Dr. Renteria has served as a middle school Science teacher, a counselor, an assistant principal, and has been principal at Resaca Middle School since 2022. 

 

Dr. Renteria attended Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree, a Bachelor of Science Degree, and a Master of Science Degree. In 2020, Dr. Renteria received her Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M University of Kingsville.



Daniel Garcia, dedicated to fostering student success, currently serves as the Assistant Principal at Resaca Middle School for the 2024-2025 academic year. With a tenure in the Los Fresnos CISD family since 2014, Mr. Garcia's journey in public education, which commenced in 2009, has seen him excel in roles ranging from elementary and high school counseling to elementary administration. 


Mr. Garcia earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Brownsville and his Master of Educational Counseling from Lamar University. Additionally, Mr. Garcia holds a Principal as an Instructional Leader certification from Region One ILP3, further enhancing his commitment to educational leadership.

Mr. Alfredo Uriegas serves the students at Resaca Middle School as Assistant Principal for the 2024-2025 school year. Mr. Uriegas has been a part of the Los Fresnos CISD family since 2022. His career in public education began in Austin ISD, where he served as a bilingual and dual language 4th-6th grade teacher for 11 years.  Prior to his current role, he was a 5th grade bilingual teacher at Villareal Elementary School in Los Fresnos CISD from 2022-2023. Mr. Uriegas received his Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Learning and Development from the University of Texas at Austin and his Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Concordia University.
 
Mr. Uriegas is originally from Brownsville and lives with his wife and daughter at their small farm. He enjoys hanging out with his family and friends, loves to go fishing, and traveling to new places throughout the summer.

Lissandra Gonzales serves the students at Resaca Middle School as the Dean of Instruction for the 2024-2025 school year. Mrs. Gonzales has been part of the Los Fresnos CISD family since 2022. During her career in public education that began in 2013, Mrs. Gonzales has served as an elementary teacher for 9 years, and an Instructional coach for 1 year. 

 

Mrs. Gonzales received her Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas Pan American and her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
