Location: National Custodial Worker’s Recognition Day encourages appreciation to men and women who keep our schools and workplaces across the nation running smoothly.

Fire Prevention Week

Location: This year’s FPW campaign, “Serve Up Fire Safety in the Kitchen!" works to educate everyone about the simple but important actions they can take to keep themselves, and those around them, safe in the kitchen.

Principal’s Message

Resaca Middle School is located on FM 1575 just north of Texas Highway 100 in the cluster of the district’s three oldest campuses. The building served jointly as the district’s intermediate and high school for a seven-year period.

Resaca, which opened in 1955 as Los Fresnos Junior High, is adjacent to Leo Aguilar Memorial Stadium. Additions were made to the school in 1977, 1985, and 2000.
RMS houses about 820 students in grades 6 to 8. Olmito, Rancho Verde and Villareal elementary schools served as feeder schools to RMS. The school mascot is Gators and the principal is Maria Elisa Pineda.
