Our 8th grade boys took on a determined to win Los Cuates Cougars team this past Saturday October 13th.  Both teams were hyped up, with fans in the stand at Leo Aguilar Stadium, playing under the lights, and taking on one of their sister schools.  Game started off great as both teams had their 1st offensive drive stall and giving it back to each other.  On the 2nd drive, during the 2nd quarter, our boys connected on a 50+ touchdown pass from quarterback JoJo Rodriguez to receiver Nathan Garcia on a quick slant pass.  Diego Moreno added the crucial 2-point conversion to put the Gators on top, 8-0.   Score at halftime was 8-0 Gators on top.  Second half was more hard-nose defense by both teams.

Late in the 3rd quarter, the cougars came up with their score on a touchdown run, but were unable to hit their 2-point conversion as the snap was fumbled by their place holder.  Game ended with a final score of Gators 8 and Cougars 6.  It was a great game by both teams and both teams showed what we truly are here in Los Fresnos, “FAMILY.”

7th Grade:

Congratulations to our 7th grade football team for their great victory against our neighbor school, Los Cuates, by a score of 22-0.  Scoring for our gators were Dante Delgado with 2 touchdown runs and 1 by Gael Palestina.  Adding to the score was also Alan Oviedo with 2 extra point field goals. It was an overall team victory, the offense was contributing with points and the gator defense did a tremendous job stopping every attempt by the Cougar offense. For the second consecutive week, our 7th grade football team has had 2 victories by the same score of 22-0.
