Football 8th and 7th Grades

  8th Grade Score
 Gators vs. Mustangs  22 - 13

Our boy’s football games for this past weekend were canceled due to inclement weather that was forecast for this past weekend.  Our boys had a good week of practice and were looking forward to playing against Harlingen Coakley.  Mother nature, on the other hand, had other plans.  Our boys will now focus on Harlingen Vela as our 7th grade travel to Harlingen and our 8th graders will host the panthers at the high school practice field.  Good luck boys!!

Volleyball 8th and 7th Grades

“Congratulations to the 8th grade A team for their win yesterday vs Miller Jordan!  The girls won in 2 games and the scores were as follows, 25-12, 25-22 and 15-4.  Top servers were Cory Reyes with 15 serves and Stephanie Galan with 10 serves.  Great job girls!  The girls worked together to achieve good passes, sets and hits.  They represented our school well, showing great character, leadership and supporting their teammates.  Coach Mendoza is very proud of you all, keep up the great work!  Please come out and support our girls at our next game which will be next Thursday vs Berta Cabaza.  7th grade plays home and 8th grade plays at Berta Cabaza.”

7th Grade:

Congratulations to our Lady Gators 7th grade “A” team on their first win of the season last night against the Miller Jordan Cougars. The Lady Gators got a good start and remained on top throughout the entire game. Their scores were 25-15, 25-11, and 15-2. While the whole team played awesome, the top servers of the night were Shiloh Jones and Elyza Garza with 8 serves and Nataly Garcia and Vivian Granados with 6 serves each. Keep up the good work, ladies, and work hard each and every day to get better. I am very proud of you – Coach Ramirez

Cross Country 7th and 8th Grade

Our cross country team had a week off as they did not have a meet this past Saturday.  Our kiddos were still at practice this past week getting ready for their upcoming meet on Saturday which will be held in San Benito.  Even though our runners did not have a meet this Saturday, Coach Puente was happy to have her usual runners out there staying after school this past week.  Keep working hard and thank you for showing your hard work and dedication to your teammates!
