LFCISD Weighting of Grades
Major Grades (60% of the student's grading period)- Advance notice of major grades will be given to students.
• Chapter or Unit Test
• Research Papers- Written Reports
• Skill Assessments, i.e. Essays, Presentations,
Daily Grades (40% of the student's grading period)- Daily grades may include any of the following:
• Daily Work
LFCISD District Grading Scale
For a student to be promoted from 7th grade to 8th grade, a student must have an overall average of 70 or above for all courses taken in the grade and have a 70 or above in each core academic class (ELA, Science, Math, and Social Studies). Student must have also met state attendance policy.
